Dominic Anderson was the lead M&E designer responsible for providing a fully co-ordinated and detailed design for the M&E contractor.

The project consisted of the conversion of an existing 15-storey 1960’s office building into student accommodation for 420 students. Two additional floors were added to the existing building which was serviced with complex smoke ventilation and sprinkler systems.

The M&E services value was £4m and the design was delivered in line with the main contractors fast-track construction programme.

Dominic Anderson was appointed as the M&E designer to provide a fully co-ordinated and detailed design for the M&E contractor

The project involved the refurbishment and extension of an existing office to provide 163 bed student accommodation together with communal café areas. The design included both mechanical and natural fire engineering design and smoke extract systems.

Due to extreme programme constraints the completed detailed design was produced within 6 weeks of receiving the final architectural layouts.

The project involves the creation of a mixture of individual apartments and cluster flats, over the existing 4 floors with the addition of two new stories at the top of the building.

Dominic Anderson was lead M&E engineer for this 118 bed student accommodation conversion project in central Bristol.

The project involved the creation of a mixture of individual apartments and cluster flats, over the 5 floors with the A3 retail use at ground floor level.

Dominic managed the whole M&E detailed design process in order to meet the clients economic and time constraints, delivering the design on time and on budget.
